I do love cats and they are one of the first animals I ever made. Over time I have introduced different styles and as my experience has grown I have made the positions more complex.
Cats come in many different colours and I enjoy being able to recreate markings in my own style.

Full description
I have used a plaster piece mould made form my original stalking cat sculpture to slip cast the stalking cat in earthenware clay.
After a bisque firing I hand paint the cat with a mixture of brown, ochre and black underglaze colours using brushes to create a tabby coat.
Finally the cat is coated in a clear gloss glaze and fired to a temperature just above 1100°c.
This Brown Tabby Stalking Cat is an original hand painted design and makes a delightful ornamental figure.
