I do love cats and they are one of the first animals I ever made. Over time I have introduced different styles and as my experience has grown I have made the positions more complex.
Cats come in many different colours and I enjoy being able to recreate markings in my own style.

Full description
Slip cast in earthenware clay using a plaster piece mould I have produced from my original standing cat sculpture.
Once bisque fired, I hand paint with underglaze colours, black, tones of brown, cream and white. The colours are applied in layers using various size brushes.
After hand painting the standing cat is finished in a clear gloss glaze and fired to a temperature just above 1100°c
This Standing Ragdoll cat is an original hand painted design and makes a delightful ornamental figure.
