This small fused glass dish has been made using the 'optic' technique. Thin rods of glass (95 in total) have been cut to size and laid out onto a clear glass base, and then the technique applied to give the wonderful optic or bubble effect and the decorative scalloped edge. It required a great deal of patience and accuracy, but I think the result was worth it.
The colours are in restful muted shades of cream, soft green and blue.
This pretty litttle dish would look lovely displayed on its own, but could also be used for trinkets, soap, candles, bonbons, loose change etc.
The dish is 13cm square and has a gentle curved shape with a maximum height of 2cm.
I also have a much larger dish for sale using this technique.
