This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
One of my very own designs, new for Spring 2021, and I think it is quite stunning and very special.
It is a 'picture' of a flower, a gloriously bright flower, bursting into life with its rainbow coloured petals spreading to the edges of the picture.
At the base are bright green textured leaves and some heavily textured clear glass and iridescent glass for contrast.
The picture is framed in clear glass with a very pretty texture. It's then strengthened with a border of twisted wire.
This is beautifully bright, simple and cheerful and casts lovely colours when it hangs in the light of a window.
It is 16cm wide by 18.5cm high and hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
My pieces are all unique. I use different shades and textures of glass to ensure that everything I make, even when to the same pattern, is different.
Postage on this piece is set for first class signed for to cover Royal Mail insurance value.
I was so delighted with the Rainbow Tree of Life panel I made I decided to make this on the same general principle of a framed gloriously bright picture but using a flower this time instead of a tree
