raw edge applique & free machine embroidered miniature red panda zombie in a painted 4" wooden hoop - yellow
red panda zombie feels emotionally flattened. he really though 2021 would be different.
this tiny applique tree panda is in grey linen on a cheery yellow cotton background.
his eyes are hand embroidered.
the text "2021" is written freehand, and the hoop is similarly signed & dated on the reverse.
there's no computer wizardry here - this piece was sewn entirely on a domestic sewing machine.
each tiny piece is hand cut, layered and appliqued onto cotton, before drawing the details on freehand, using free motion embroidery.
the hoop is backed with cotton calico, and there's a coordinating heart & text on the reverse.
my design is based on an original illustration by Little Black Heart
