Full description
This is a handmade fused glass sailing boat with a wooden base. This beautiful glass piece has been made by hand cutting the glass and adding crushed coloured glass and small copper inclusions. The boat has a wire rod running through the layers of glass and attached to a small block of reclaimed wood. The base has been made from old oak whisky barrels and has been lightly sanded to reveal the unique textures and grain it has then been oiled to help preserve the surface.
Each boat is completely unique and they look stunning on a window ledge with the light passing through. This would make an ideal gift for a lover of nautical items or the seaside.
Each boat measures approximately 16cm tall by 8cm wide. Please contact me if you would like this item send directly as a gift and a personalised message can be added. The boat may vary slightly from the one in the photograph as each is slightly different.
