Handmade In the UK.
I am lucky to live in a beautiful part of the UK, Nidderdale, North Yorkshire. However if I didn't live here the North Yorkshire Coast would be my next choice. Love the colours and textures that a coastal or beach scene allow you to play with.
A beautiful picture full of colour and texture. Shades of blue highlighted with white silk for the sky with turquoise and white for the sea.
Free motion machine embroidery creates the deep undulations of the rolling waves.
A sail boat bobs on top of the waves.
Made using wool from our flock of North Country Mule Ewes,(please see my about section for more information) along with Merino wool and silk fibres.
This picture was made by alternating many layers of wool then wet felting followed by needle felting and finally free motion embroidery. A technique that takes many hours.
This original signed felt art comes presented in a white frame without glass.
