I’ve been meaning to add legs to my birds for a while as some customers have asked for ones which can be displayed on a windowsill or shelf. This song thrush with his open beak as though he were singing, stands on sturdy wire legs on his own sycamore block and would add cheeriness to any room. I’ve tried to replicate his markings as accurately as possible which can be quite fiddly to do in glass!
The thrush which has a textured surface is 19cm long from beak to tail and stands 14cm tall. Complete with stand he measures 18cm. As these birds are made by hand and it is impossible to get each one identical, a slight variation in markings and colour will occur - this means that yours will be unique!
This would make a great gift for bird watchers, bird lovers, nature enthusiasts and those who just love the countryside. More bird designs are being planned to join the flock – if you have a favourite which is not shown here, please contact me and I will try to create one to your specifications.
