Having inherited a slightly off-kilter sense of humour, I enjoy playing with words, images, book and song titles; giving them a new perspective.

The two black and white images are from my own linocut prints.
'Haiku' is a lovely, succinct way of expressing an idea or feeling. And the word itself shouted 'Tall Pigeon' at me....and from there I constructed my own haiku and long-legged bird.

'Life of Pie' was a simple addition of a vowel. The life of a pie is very short and yet falls into 3 specific stages, which happily fit neatly into an A5 piece of lino.

'Hey Diddle, Diddle' and 'Jack and Jill' are two well known nursery rhymes which lend themselves to the playful art and style of Joan Miro, who I much admire. These images were drawn using Promarker pens.
