As I was invited into the enclosure where Mei Lan was currently residing, I looked up into his black soft eyes and felt his incredibly warm and loving energy, deep in my heart. I burst into tears! Unable to stop myself, and these were tears of pure love and joy and happiness, I turned to the lovely man who was one of his care givers and he said to me "Don't worry, he makes me cry often too!" I've never encountered such a huge hearted and kind being in my life and that is saying a lot given the wonderful animals I have had the honour of meeting and knowing... His energy felt as if he were giving me the biggest and most loving bear hug of all time and it was such a wonderful experience. Over the month I was there, needless to say, I spent as much time with this amazing being as I could and this piece was my outpouring of love to honour him.
