In the woodlands, if you are quiet and present you can be rewarded by seeing these beautiful and shy birds, the Jay. Related to the Magpie, yet very much more quiet and secretive these beautiful birds have some stunning plumage and are the Oak Trees best friend, as they take their acorns and bury them deeply, many of which then grow to become saplings, forgotten by the Jay. The Oak loves that they take them far away as they love to have free standing space to grow fully.
I created the original piece using beautiful Polychromos pencils onto crisp, white cartridge paper. The Limited Edition A4 print is a professional scan of this original and is printed at Giclee standard onto high quality Arcoprint FSC, acid free paper.
I carefully package (using recycled or eco friendly materials wherever possible), post tracked and insured using Royal Mail and follow up to ensure you have received them in pristine order.
Occasionally, out on a walk or even in our garden I will spot a timid and shy Jay. If I am very still and quiet both inside and out, they will allow me to observe them in all their beauty. They are very secretive birds and offer us guidance to hold what is dear and precious to us close to our hearts. They also are the best friend to the Oak trees, helping them to distribute their acorn seeds far and wide and burying them to just the right depth for germination later.
