Full description
A hand-stitched brooch that features a Passion flower and foliage.
A piece of moss green cotton was used as the background for the pretty white flower with its contrasting dashes of colour. I added the foliage and some curling tendrils as they are such an integral part of the plant itself, a vigorous and jungle-y mass of greenery.
The stitching is all free-style and sewn by hand, a combination of looped and straight stitches, and stem stitch. The piece has a soft green velvet ribbon edge which gives it some structure and a luxurious touch.
It measures about 3.5x4.5 cms and has a brooch pin with a safety catch to keep it nice and safe. It will be sent out in a little organza bag by first class Royal Mail.
A colourful and eye catching gift for a gardener or someone who loves flowers.
