BOXES IN TWO TONE
Beautiful, original 11 1/4 x 16 inch geometric, retro style wall art, in acrylic & collage on mount board. Created with acrylic and hand cut collage collage, in a combination of attractive, high key colours. This is an original, handmade, hand painted piece of artwork which is signed on the front with a collaged "B" and hand signed on the reverse. The artwork comes to you unframed - framed photos are for illustration purposes only. International customers, please convo for shipping quote.
This set of original collage artworks is inspired by the design style of the Eames' Lucienne Day, Rex Ray, Joan Miro etc and the wonderful retro atomic / op art style of the the 50s, 60 and 70s. I create my collages by building up a background colour or texture with layers of acrylic paint, onto which I collage simplified shapes which are made from my own painted, designed papers. This takes the form of numerous, time consuming, small adjustments, additions and replacements to build up to a final balanced composition that is pleasing to the eye.
