I'd had this collection of fabrics in my stash for sometime. The fabric prints are very pretty so I didn't want to cut them into tiny patchwork pieces. When I saw Leah Days design on her blog I decided it would be the ideal way to showcase the fabrics.

Full description
A lightweight but warm throw in soft Summer colours perfect to use as a snuggle quilt on a sofa or to drape over the end of a bed. Can also be used as a huggable layer for outdoor get-togethers.
All the outer fabrics used in this quilt are 100% cotton. The inner wadding layer is beautifully smooth Quilters Dream Green polyester made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. The quilt is therefore comfortable and warm as well as being easy care. Machine wash on a gentle 40 degree cycle.
The quilt measures 46" wide by 61" long (117cm x 155cm). I label all the quilts I make - this one I've called 'Sixty Degree Summer' to reference the colour palette and the patchwork design which has fabrics cut at a 60 degree angle. The block design is by Leah Day and I've adapted it to make this unique quilt.
The quilt back is made of five pieces of cotton fabric chosen to compliment the fabrics on the front of the quilt. The double layer binding stitched around the edge of the quilt is a light grey cotton with a white text print. All the layers are held together with a grid of wavy line quilting stitches which give the quilt a textural dimension.
