I have been learning hand sewing techniques such as applique and realised I needed a little container to keep all my sewing notions in one place. I made myself a fabric basket and used the pieces of left over fabrics to make a matching pincushion.
I have found my basket and pincushion so useful that I decided other sewists would appreciate these practical and attractive sets too.

Full description
An attractive fabric storage basket just the perfect size for keeping sewing project notions and supplies on a table instead of rolling onto the floor or getting lost between the sofa cushions! An ideal gift for anyone who sews.
The set comprises the fabric basket and matching pincushion made in coordinating cotton prints depicting roses and ditsy dots.
NB. The scissors, threads etc are NOT included.
The basket is made of 100% cotton fabrics and is fully lined. The base measures 4.25" x 4.25" (11cm x 11cm) square. The basket stands 4.25" (11cm) high. Between the outside and the lining are hidden layers of medium weight interfacing and quilters wadding which ensure the basket can stand upright without support but remains soft enough to fold flat if needed. The outside of the basket is decorated with quilting stitches which add rigidity and extra texture.
The matching pincushion is also made of 100% cotton fabrics with a patchwork design on top. It measures 4.25" (11cm) square. It is stuffed with polyester wadding.
Both the basket and pincushion can be machine washed on a gentle cycle.
