For sale is a true to life replica heritage collection of the 12th Century designed Lewis Chessmen. This special metallic aged effect Lewis chess set is not the same as the Lewis chess sets that are commonly sold. This chess set is larger and is a true to life copy of the original pieces.
If like me you have obsessed about the Lewis Chessmen for most of your life, this is the set for you. The feel and presence while playing with the set is a total experience in itself. This is a close as a person can get to playing with the actual Lewis Chessmen. It's amazing!
This set represents an attempt to unite the pieces and make them accessible as a functional Chess set.
This set consists of the following individual/separate pieces 2 kings, 2 queens, 3 bishops (one bishop is used on both sides) , 4 knights, 4 rooks and two sets of pawns and is arguably the most complete replica set available today.
