Gyotaku is a tradition Japanese method of printing most commonly used for printing fish. However I like to have a little fun so I used the method to print some biscuits that were in my studio, it's a great way to stop me from eating.
So I printed the biscuits onto silk, then transferred that in to a digital art app, I combined this with some original water colour painting to come up with this little design.
This digitally printed card is A6 in size and printed on 350gsm card. The reverse has a line down the center for you address and message.
I love to try new things, I really did wake up in the middle of the night and wondered if I could use Gyotaku to make a print of biscuits. I'm a true biscuit lover.
