I've been making individual collages during lockdown, thinking about our isolation, and where we retreat to when we want to be alone, but how lockdown has forced us to be alone. I was thinking about how the garden shed has often been a symbol of somewhere to get away to, but how it's now a place of daily work, or retreat whilst we are working from home. Angry sheds maybe? They never get a moment's peace nowadays!

Full description
I have started to make new collages during lockdown. This is a one of a kind, original mixed media collage, exploring beauty in decay. Reflecting on time passing, the layers of history peeling through, being painted over again and again. History repeating itself, a palimpsest revealing itself.
This is one of my original signed miniatures, unframed.
It can be sent as a card, (or it can be framed in a 10.5cm x 15cm frame - IKEA sell several of a suitable size). The artwork is mounted on Kraft card and white card.

Materials: Mixed media, paint, inks, mixed papers
