I’ve now started to paint on used clothes as an upcycling project. This helps reducing the amount of clothes that go to landfill and to keep buyers costs down (used objects don’t cost as much as new).
I love rainbows and I wanted to try this new technique I saw which gives a similar effect to watercolour. I’m happy with the result and I hope you like it too!

Full description
This is an upcycled GAP kids white top that I have painted using fabrics paints diluted in water to give it a watercolour effect. It features a big rainbow covering most of the front and the writing: Follow the rainbow.
The neck also has a sequin decoration, which was already there originally.
The top is used but it’s in good conditions, the fabric looks like it has been worn before.
Size: Kids - L - 10
Materials and allergic note:
Top: 60% cotton - 40% polyester - sequin decorations
Paints: DEKA Permanent Fabric Paint - Tulip fabric spray paint - Daler Rowney paint markers (non-toxic)

Wash top inside out at max 30 degrees and iron inside out. Please do not iron neck sequin decoration, as per label instructions.
Due to light and camera conditions, the colours might be slightly different from the ones showed on pictures.
