A one-of-a-kind piece of statement jewellery, this handmade lariat necklace is adjustable and reversible.

Handcrafted from bright yellow, orange, green and glitter-gold polymer clay, this lariat necklace is a striking piece of jewellery. Both sides of the leaf shaped pendant are cut from my jonquil cane, making the necklace reversible.

A brown waxed cotton cord threads through a leaf shaped cut-out in pendant. The ends of the cord are finished with handmade spherical beads in the same jonquil cane. Sliding knots in the cotton cord allow you to adjust the length of the necklace.

All the clay pieces of this necklace have been cut from my own handmade canes, which I slice and lay out to create random patterns. No two pieces are ever the same! Once the pieces have been constructed and fired, they are sanded and painted with a semi-gloss varnish.

Lariat necklaces are a must-have in any wardrobe. Featuring long strands that hang vertically down the front of your body, they’re chic, super versatile, and really easy to pair with different outfits.

This lariat necklace is the perfect jewellery gift for someone with individual style and flair. It comes wrapped in tissue paper, ready to gift (or keep for yourself :-) ). I am more than happy to write a gift label (with your chosen words) and despatch it straight to your loved one for you.

Polymer clay is a wonderfully lightweight, versatile and colourful material that can be blended into a kaleidoscope of colours then sculpted. I love blending clays to create my own colour palettes. This necklace is made from my Jonquil blend: a homage to my adopted homeland of Wales and the ever-cheerful jonquils & daffodils.

My design process is very organic and sustainable; I cut out or mould scraps of clay into new shapes, and then play about with different hanging arrangements.

Always a fan of lariat necklaces – they are so versatile and elegant – I currently have two designs available: this reversible leaf pendant and another with a donut pendant suspended from a circular disc.

The design of my lariat necklaces are simple but elegant, to allow the pattern and colours of the polymer clay to stand out.
