I made this in March, thinking of a golden hare, painted in folk-style and decorated in tiny circular mandalas, which symbolise life. The egg is bound with tiny tiny dots … the tiniest I was able to paint and too numerous to count. It’s truly unique and one of its kind and I hope it will make a very original gift for someone special … perhaps as an Easter gift, or even to welcome a newborn baby boy. It’s signed on the base with my mark “.o”

About the size of a hen’s egg, 5cm high this freestanding flat-bottomed egg is made of very hard wearing plaster and painted in dotted style, in metallic paints, featuring a golden rabbit on one side. It has been varnished in two coats of varnish to protect from UV and dust, and has a subtle sheen.
