Tunisian crochet is a new to me craft which I have delved into recently. It is similar to crochet in that you use a hook but you need a long hook and end up with lots of stitches on your hook, similar to knitting. Each row has a return pass where you end up with one stitch on the hook again before you start the next row. It is quite time consuming but I have really enjoyed dipping my toe into this new craft.

A pretty spring flower tea cosy, made using the traditional methods of Tunisian Crochet, regular crochet and hand knitting.
This tea cosy is a new design for me using Tunisian crochet for the base which makes a lovely thick fabric to keep your tea warm.
The teacosy is made with a lovely soft wool and acrylic mix yarn in pretty spring yellow. The three green leaves are hand knitted using acrylic yarn in a lovely shade of green. There are three white crochet flowers attached. These have pale yellow and grey centres. They are made using acrylic yarns.
It will fit a standard 4-6 cup (1 litre) teapot and there is a roll brim at the bottom to allow for different heights and styles of teapot. When laid flat the tea cosy measures approx 8 inches across the middle of one side. The height when laid flat is approx 6.5 inches.
I would recommend hand washing this item in cool water. Do not tumble dry.
