Description
Handmade wheel thrown stoneware ceramic jug.
I made this jug on my potter's wheel. Once thrown the pouring lip is formed, it was left to dry until leather hard, then the handle was added and pulled directly on the jug. It was bisque fired then 2 different glazes, all lead free, were applied before it was fired a second time to 1220 oC.
The Hathersage Heather pink glaze has gloss finish and the clear glaze inside the mug allows the colour of the clay to come through.
Approx diameter base 8 cm rim about 6.5cm
height about 7 cm
Holds approx 200 ml
Dishwasher safe though hand washing is recommended.
This listing is for 1 jug. I make mugs in small batches and there is always some variation between each item, making them all delightfully unique
