I'm a bit smitten by all cows actually but these have to be the most photogenic. With their shaggy coats they look almost teddy bear like.
I wanted this to be a fun and playful image. I used watercolour on very wet paper and dropped the colours in to achieve some tonal value. I then used more detailed painting and finer brushes for the eyes,nose and horns. Finally I used the pens and paint splashes to add the shaggy texture.I did this in a random and messy way to add that feeling of movement and swishyness!

Full description
An open edition high quality signed print of an original painting of a highland cow. Watercolour,gouache and pen used for the original. Each print is professionally mounted and wrapped in cellophane. It will be posted wrapped in tissue and protected in a sturdy cardboard box.

A4 (20.00 plus standard p&p) - Including mount the print measures 305mm x 410mm ( 16 x 12 inches)
A3 (38.00 plus signed for delivery) - including the mount the print measures 290mm x 410mm (16 x 20 inches)
