The original was created as a gift for a lover of Hares. I wanted to capture the essence of these wonderful creatures. To do this I started with a watercolour base. I like to drop the colours I choose onto very wet paper and let them do their own thing. Sometimes you get a look you're happy with but if not I start all over again! I wanted to give the eye that wise and clear gaze, so used watercolour in more detail here. Finally to achieve that wiry look and to bring the picture to life I used the polychromos coloured pencils to finish off.
