Full description
A closeup detailed image of a Hare’s Eye, hand stitched with individual strands of embroidery thread in shades of brown from cream to dark chocolatey umber. The Eye is a ring of golden amber with a deep black pupil and the light is just catching on the dome. There’s a few golden hairs glinting in the light too.
This Hare is watching!
The textile piece is framed in a gold-finished wooden frame that has just the right antique finish to set the work off dramatically. The textile work is 3x3 cms and the frame measures just over 10.5x10.5 cms. I photographed it in natural light without the glass for clarity and with the glass in place and a hook on the reverse it’s ready to display.
A unique and unusual treasure for someone who’s as intrigued by Wild Hares as I am!
