Hello and welcome to my Folksy shop! While we're enduring the pandemic, most of my items will be posted using the Roya; Mail's 'Signed for' first class service.
I've been making for others since 2013 and am in the process of opening up my shop here. If you'd like to see what my customers have said about my work, you can read more than 1,000 reviews on my web site: http://www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk/ (click 'Reviews' on the bar at the top of the page).
In addition to the UK, I'm happy to ship most items to Europe, the US, Canada, Japan and Australia - just message me for a shipping quotation.
Many of the pieces I make are made to order and the shipping time is a 'worse case scenario' estimate - I will often make and send items quicker than indicated, although things do sometimes slow down at busy times. If you want something urgently, just message me and I'll confirm if I can meet your deadline.
I'm more active on Instagram than anywhere else: https://www.instagram.com/the_crimson_rabbit/ but you can always find me online elsewhere: my blog is here: www.thecrimsonrabbit.co.uk, my facebook page here: www.facebook.com/thecrimsonrabbitpage and my Pinterest addiction is evidenced here: http://www.pinterest.com/crimsonrabbit/

The bag is made with a classic Liberty Tana Lawn print called 'June's Meadow' in a colourway of very pale blue with a scattering of pinks, oranges and yellows in the flowers. To make the fine lawn fabric a little more durable, I interface it with a woven cotton, before partnering it with a soft grey yarn dyed Essex Linen by Robert Kaufman. I then add another layer of interfacing to the whole, before adding a layer of fleece for a soft squishiness. I then line the bag with a coordinating pink cotton (alsoo interfaced), which has a slip pocket added, and everything is stitched together with a good quality YKK zip and top stitched for a tidy finish. The final touch is adding a removable wristlet strap using a simple keychain loop and clasp.
The bag stands 7.75 inches 19.5cm tall and is 9.5 inches 24cm wide at the widest point. The depth measured across the bottom is 3.5 inches 8.25cm. I've included a picture of the bag with a skein of yarn, to give an idea of scale.
If you prefer your bag to open up wide and don't mind a small gap at the end of the zip, let me know when ordering and I'll install the zip slightly differently when making your bag to enable this.
I'm calling this a project bag because that's how I'd use it, but you can use it however you like! If you don't have endless knit, crochet and sewing projects to put in it as I do, you could use it as a larger sized make up bag, for toiletries, or really anything else you'd put in a generously sized zippered bag. It makes a great gift for a creative friend - trust me, they'll find LOTS of things to put in it!
