Full description

A jug which has been slip cast with white earthenware clay in a plaster mould made for me. Once bisque fired to 1050 C, the jug was dipped into a tin glaze and then the flowers were painted on top using Chinese brushes. Painting on top of an unfired glaze is the Majolica technique which is used a lot in Italy and Spain. The jug was fired again to 1020 C.

14cm high, belly 10cm wide

1 pint capacity

Designed by Anne Marie Elizabeth Mace in Derry
