Full description
In response to the love for my ‘Walk in the Woods’ pattern published last Autumn, I have designed a winter colourway and introduced some new motifs. Like the original, this beanie is perfect for learning, practicing Fair isle and working in the round. It is also a fun knit for those experienced in Fair Isle. The design has nine simple small Fair Isle motifs of four to six rows and four stitch repeats. The pattern lays out a suggested order and colour way design, building complexity of stitches as you progress. However, you can design your own hat by choosing from the 9 small patterns illustrated. Between each motif is a single colour knit row so the beanie knits quickly and gives a break from the Fair Isle practice.
The ‘Winter Walk in the Woods’ reflects the beautiful shades of a winter woodland. The contrast in each section makes the patterns easy to follow as well as a great looking combination.
Approximate size
22cm long 52cm circumference.
The finish hat will stretch comfortably to 62cm circumference.
If you wish to knit a bigger or smaller hat increase or decrease the number of stitches by 12.
