I had a lot of the alpaca silk black and white thread and wanted to make something that could show off the beautiful thread in a more textured way, so thought the waffle weave would really add that tactile feel. Having made a plain scarf before I wanted to add some colour to this one, so added in the blue tweed which really makes the piece come alive.
