Thank you for looking...
I love the variety of wild birds that visit our garden - hard to pick a favourite.
But there’s a lovely Song Thrush who politely waits on the fence while the little sparrows and Bluetits jostle for space noisily chattering away. She waits her turn quietly or hops about in the shrubbery beneath, unruffled and calm.
And the song!! Beautiful.

Hand embroidered study of a Song Thrush.
Stitched by hand onto a soft cotton background using individual strands of embroidery thread, this piece of textile work features a Song Thrush. It shows off the lovely creamy breast with the distinctive arrow-shaped markings. I’ve used textured ribbon for the branch that she’s perching on.
I don’t know what’s caught her attention but she looks alert and ready for action.
The embroidered piece is 4x4cms and the narrow oak frame is 14.5x14.5 cms. The photos show it without the glass to eliminate reflections and in natural light for accuracy but bear in mind that colours vary from screen to screen. It’s strung on the back and with the glass for protection it’s ready to display.
A lovely gift for a gardener or a bird watcher.
