Item details

This happy seagull, inspired by trips to the Norfolk and Suffolk coast, the nearest seaside to Kettering where I live. It reminds me of an incident, where my husband had his ice cream snatched by a bold and cheeky gull!

Full description

This smiley Seagull pottery ornament is the perfect for gift for friends and family or to provide the finishing touch for those special little spaces in your home.

Each piece is hand painted with a fresh cheeky design inspired by my love of the sea and the traditional British seaside. Every one is cut out from a slice of white earthenware clay, mounted on its own ceramic and wire stand, dried, fired in a potter's kiln, then dipped in glaze and hand painted with professional ceramic colours to fix the design in the final firing.

It is about 6 cm tall, and about 8cm from its beak to tip of its tail.

Designed by Louise Crookenden-Johnson
