Sometimes just a little pretty vase is needed for a handful of small blooms. I decided to make this pot in this round, feminine shape to balance a posy of blooms. When I throw pieces on the wheel, I enjoy drawing incised lines into the surface to emphasise the shape and form. The hand painted colours add joy and a sense of movement to the design.

Full description
Linda has made this unique little porcelain posy vase in her studio in Winchester. It has been thrown on the wheel and then incised with a freehand pattern. After a bisque firing coloured stains have been rubbed into and painted over the incised lines, emphasising the voluptuous shape.
The pot has then been fired to 1230 degrees in an electric kiln.
It has a transparent glaze on the inside to ensure it is watertight.
The vase looks very stylish on its own but also looks wonderful full of fresh flowers.
A perfect present for a friend, a wedding , birthday etc.
