This listing is for the bag you see in the photos.
A brilliant silver gilded Japanese cotton fabric has been used to create this Japanese rice bag. Orange and black koi swim in front of swirls of grey and silver, with hemp leaves in various hues of blue dotted around.
The rice bag, or komebukuro, is a drawstring bag that was traditionally made of scrap fabric to carry rice or other offerings to Japanese temples or shrines.
The bag is reversible with a mid blue cotton fabric that complements the koi fabric.
It measures 11cm (just over 4 inches) in height, width and depth. Silver and black ribbon has been used to create the tabs that hold silver cord ties. The tabs covering the end of the cord have been created from the koi fabric too.
The bag would make a lovely gift bag for someone special, and holds a lot given its size as can be seen in the final photo.
