There are many fascinating book structures, and the deceptively simple concertina is a personal favourite. I love using it to create sketchbooks because the expanded concertina page lends itself to panoramic landscapes or seascapes... but the book page can also be left folded and used in a more conventional way. So a concertina sketchbook has many creative possibilities. Also - as a colour and pattern lover, vibrant Colorplan card is a dream for me to work with and the perfect choice for the covers of these handy little sketchbooks.

Full description

These soft-cover, watercolour paper concertina books are the perfect pocket-size books for your painting projects.

This versatile book structure - also know as the accordion or Leporello binding - is fascinating to use. You can use each folded panel like the page of a regular book. Or you can let the extended panoramic 75 cm page inspire your painting without the usual constraints of turning the page. Or you can use a mixture of both ... see where the book structure will take you and your imagination!

The pages are 190gsm Bockingford watercolour paper, a high quality English watercolour paper made at St Cuthberts Mill in Somerset.

The soft covers are made from the iconic, pulp-dyed Colorplan card that's been made in the UK since 1936.

PLEASE NOTE: If the colour you want doesn't appear on the drop-down menu this means it is sold out - apologies.

I also have Marbled Watercolour Concertinas available as pictured in the final image above - see separate listing.
