This Embroidered Suffragette Brooch reflects the Suffragette Votes for Women Movement, using their adopted colours .......purple, green and white.. .....representing dignity, hope and purity.
This brooch has a purple and green ribbon rose in the centre, stitched onto circles of green, purple and white felt, hand embroidered with Lazy-Daisy and Fly Stitches, dotted with lilac and silver seed beads and edged with a border of Blanket Stitches in purple thread.
This Embroidered Suffragette Brooch is a nice wearable size, approximately 2 inches (5cms) diameter. It has a brooch pin with a safety catch sewn onto the back for secure wear. It looks lovely worn on a jacket, cardigan, jumper, coat or beret.
This Embroidered Suffragette Brooch is gift wrapped in a organza bag embellished with a purple flower decoration. So it’s ready to be worn on International Women’s Day ..... or given as a birthday, friendship, thank you gift.
