Full description
An abstract design depicting sunrise over misty mountains.
The mountains are formed from grey textured glass, green iridescent glass and purple glass. The glass globs represent the colours of the changing seasons - green, pink and purple for the spring and summer changing to orange and gold in the autumn and blue and white for the snow and ice of winter. The blue represents a river with wavy copper foil and decorative solder to symbolise the movement of the water.
The sun is made of glass taken from a 1970's door panel and the misty cloud is made from a thick textured antique glass which is clear with a blue hue.
NB There is a defect in the the cloud, a small hairline crack which is only visible at certain angles (see pics for details). I could take it off and replace it but I love it as it forms the perfect cloud and I don't have any more of that glass so have decided to leave it and reduce the price slightly.
Made in the Tiffany style each piece of glass has been hand cut and copper foiled before being soldered together. It has a silvery black patina and is polished to bring out the highlights in the decorative solder.
Looks great hanging in a window or on a wall near a lamp or uplighter. The perfect gift for people who love the outdoors to bring a touch of nature to the home.
It measures approx. 7.5" x 7" and hangs from a copper chain which has been soldered in place.
