Full description
The glass flowers in this scene have been created using several methods over a number of days. Firstly the daisy style flowers are using a freeze and fuse method which is powdered glass and water layered into moulds before freezing and then transferring direct onto the kiln to be fired twice. I created the green, orange and yellow flowers by first making canes of glass in a mould then chopping up into murrine. Lastly the remaining flowers and grass are made by layering frit( ground glass) onto a base tile of clear glass then firing with the components I have previously made.
The frame measures 17cm x 17cm and the glass tile is 10cm x 10cm.
