Both the felt covers of this journal and the paper for the pages are hand made, making a totally unique book.

The lovely thick felt was made in England by artist Penny Dixon, from soft merino wool.

The pages are Hatakami paper, which has been hand made by the Sitaula family, in Birtamode, Nepal, for several generations.

Hatakami Prakrtika paper has a slight texture and natural deckle edges from the paper moulds. Designed as a printmaking paper, it is also good for drawing and can take some paint also - especially if gesso primer is applied first.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Standard returns policy applies to this item, except when a customised label has been purchased and attached to the book. If the book has a customised printed label, the book is then not eligible for return, unless it is faulty. However, if there should be a problem with your order, do contact me and I will do my best to resolve it to your satisfaction.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

A journal made with hand made felt and filled with hand made paper.

The covers are of soft merino wool felt, hand embellished with a beaded flower design on the closing tab.
The outside of the covers is bright red, with mid green & sparkly fibres. Inside is red, with deep green swirls.
The closing strip fastens on the back cover with a black metal press-stud. The front of the strip is embellished with hand embroidery and golden glass beads.
There are 28 pages of hand made Hatakami paper, sewn into the cover with two rows of decorative stitches, embellished with golden glass beads.
The paper is suitable for all dry media (note that heavy marker pen may bleed through).

The book measures 19 x 14cm / approx 7.75" x 5.75"

A plain white label can be attached to the first page at no extra cost. Please leave a message at checkout.
