This pendant is a homage to Art Deco and Egyptian Revival jewellery of the early 20th century. I love the strong forms and bright colours of that era. The blend of blues with bright green and glittering silver was inspired by dreams of escaping to a tropical island ;-) The millefiori style of these pieces also remind me of beetle wings, a popular design trope in the Deco period.

Full description
Art Deco inspired pendants in a stunning blend of navy, royal blue, bright green and glittering silver millefiori style pattern. The top edge of the semi-circular pendant has a shouldered circular cut out in the centre. The outer edge is decorated with an alternating band of cut out tear drops and tear drop discs. The pendant hangs on a silver-plated chain necklace.
All the clay pieces of this necklace have been cut from my own handmade canes, which I slice and lay out to create random patterns. No two pieces are ever the same! Once the pieces have been constructed and fired, they are sanded and painted with a semi-gloss varnish.

The necklace will be wrapped in tissue paper and placed in an organza bag, ready to gift or keep for yourself!
