The design for this necklace was inspired by my own love of lariat necklaces; it is simple but elegant, to allow the pattern and colours of the polymer clay to stand out. The blend of blues with bright green was inspired by dreams of escaping to a tropical island.

Full description
This handcrafted lariat necklace blends navy and royal blues with bright green and glitter silver to create a vibrant and elegant piece of jewellery. The brown waxed cotton cord threads through a leaf shaped cut-out in a leaf shaped disc. The ends of the cord are finished with spherical beads. Sliding knots in the cotton cord allow you to adjust the length of the necklace.
All the clay pieces of this necklace have been cut from my own handmade canes, which I slice and lay out to create random patterns. No two pieces are ever the same! Once the pieces have been constructed and fired, they are sanded and painted with a semi-gloss varnish.
Dimensions:
The necklace is threaded on 2.2m of brown waxed cotton cord.
At full extensions (i.e. with the knots tightened to the disc), the threads hang about 60 cm from the shoulder.
At shortest extension (i.e. with the knots meeting), the threads hang about 45 cm from the shoulder.
The necklace will be wrapped in tissue paper and placed in an organza bag, ready to gift or keep for yourself!
