I have always found period properties and the materials used of great interest. Clay roof tiles manufactured centuries ago are an impressive and robust product, with great texture and terracotta tones. Searching out the best tiles from old reclamation yards and up-cycling them into something unique gives me a great deal of pleasure.

Full description

Original clay roof tile up-cycled into a unique clock.The numbers are hand forged horseshoe nail heads with beeswax finish which are drilled into the tile.The clock movements are UTS Quartz made in Germany. A hook is fitted for wall hanging. AA battery not included. It has a quiet tick. The tile displays wonderful texture and a warm terracotta glow. Each piece is unique due to the way it has been fired and many years of exposure to the elements. This would have been hand fired approximately 200-400 years ago and once forming part of a period property. .

The measurements allowing for clock parts are - 184x255x43mm
