I normally make handmade books with decorative paper or fabric on the cover. Then one of my lovely customers had the genius idea of making the books with plain paper so she could paint on the covers as well, and so this series of books was born.

Full description
This is a handstitched book which I have bound using Coptic stitch and cream waxed linen thread. This style of binding allows the pages to open completely flat.
The front cover is a plain cartridge paper so you can paint the cover with your own design.
I have used 225gsm watercolour paper with a cold pressed surface (so with some texture) for the inside pages, so these pages are suitable for watercolour painting, or other wet media techniques.
Each book is made to order so these have a slightly longer lead time.
This listed items is a single A6 portrait handmade book (approx. height 15.5cm width 10.5 cm), as shown in the first 4 pictures
They are available in different sizes: A5 portrait, A6 portrait and A6 landscape, as shown in the other pictures for reference.
