Created during the UK's 3rd national lockdown, this piece represents the end of Autumn.
Made using memory wire across the leaves and vine, it holds eleven individually made berries. It has been crafted from beginning to end using needle felting & wet felting techniques, marrying both methods to produce this uniquely, tactile wearable Merino wool brooch.
Brooch back has been sewn own to avoid using adhesives and produce a neat, polished finish.
Measurements are approximate due to the nature of the work.
Height- 13cm (tip of stalk to tip of middle leaf)
Width- 10 cm (tip of middle leaf to tip of other side)
Berries- 0.8-0.9 mm diameter
Please note: Colours may vary slightly depending on the settings of your viewing device
Made during the Winter of 20/21 & the UK's 3rd lockdown- this piece offered mindfulness in a chaotic time- it remains a one off, ready to be loved and admired by its new owner!
