A Celtic Love Knot, of four hearts is open to so many interpretations.
Whilst researching the symbolism, I uncovered a theory that the central X in the middle of the hearts can be seen as “Gebo” (which means “gift of fair exchange”) in rune lore.
In numerology, the number four deals with stability, calmness and home. There are the four seasons, the four directions, the four elements, perhaps even this knot brings a warm, loving and balanced energy into the home. Perhaps a beautiful representation of a family of four.
However you choose to interpret the symbolism (for it can be whatever you want it to be) the knot has no beginning and no end and thus would make a beautiful gift of love.

A handcrafted paperweight made from CrystalCal plaster and painted in red & silver, featuring a central Celtic Endless Knot design of four entwined hearts, spot-varnished in high gloss. The diameter of this piece is 11cm and the height is 3cm. It weighs 270g. It has been finished with satin varnish for a subtle sheen. I have affixed a non-scratch backing pad to the reverse to protect any surface that it may be placed upon. This is a unique, only one of its kind painted artstone and I have signed it on the reverse with my minimal mark “.o”
