I saw some picture frames looking unloved in a box in a charity shop and it seemed such an absolute shame, so I tried to come up with a way of giving them a new life.

Full description

Once a frame for a 7” by 5” (18cm x 13cm) photo or picture, now a holder for eight pairs of earrings. It's free-standing, but it could also be hung on a wall.

The front of the velvet is unbelievably soft and smooth, the back is coated so the holes should be (extremely) fray-resistant. As I hope you can see from pic 3, there was a tiny chip or something in one bottom corner of the frame before I painted over it. It’s barely noticeable - you really have to be looking for it (or taking a picture that draws attention to it!) - but I did think about filling it or whatever before I painted the frame but then I decided to leave it as its part of its ‘history’.

I've kept the glass that was originally in the frame, in case someone should ever want to turn it back into a picture frame, and I'd be happy to send it along with the jewelllery holder, although the postage would be a bit higher...

Postage for the US & RoW is International Economy; if a buyer wanted the jewellery holder to be sent by the faster International Standard - or any other service, such as tracked and signed - please contact me for a price.
