I had an idea to repurpose/repaint previously used and second hand frames and to combine these with my Haiku/Poetry Prints, creating a completely new piece by the combination of these elements, but also by the transforming creative act invested in them. This was an idea as I have a strong interest in creating pieces that communicate being environmentally friendly by upcycling, repurposing and minimising waste, where possible. I also like that energy is imbued in objects when they have had a 'previous life' and the thought of enhancing and transforming this further, almost like gifting it a new life cycle.
Safety information
Works include the following materials - Canon ink - Black, Magenta, Cyan and Yellow/ Use of glue dots / 100% recycled cartridge paper and further postage/packaging may include - acid free white tissue paper, expandable large letter rigid cardboard envelopes and/or recycled postage bags. Also contains an upcycled/repainted frame made of metal with Perspex cover for the artwork. I am not aware of any risks associated with this product and/or packaging.

Full description
Included in the Perfectly Imperfect Event as this is an idea prototype; I have experimented with upcycling/repainting the frame (transforming an unwanted product into a new and higher quality piece) and the frame is combined with the 'Rules' Haiku Print. Due to this being a previously used frame there are also some very minor marks/flaws on a few areas of the frame (mainly on the back and out of sight when hung).
This is also... No.1 of 50 of the framed 'Rules' Print, the remaining are available mounted, using white board picture frames (see other listings for more info.).
Poem 'Rules' is featured in my Haiku Volume 1 Handmade Poetry Book (listed separately) and all purchases come with a free bookmark, see images in listing details for further details.
This work is printed on natural white, 100% recycled, 140gsm cartridge paper at high quality. The full frame size is approx. 9 x 7 inches with image size of 5.5 x 3.5 inches (portrait).
Whilst care is taken in photographing the piece please be aware that colours can vary according to your monitor settings, also various types of images are listed to give a clearer idea around colour, size and detail. The art print is best hung/placed out of direct sunlight. Copyright remains with the creator, L H Davies.
