Full description
A super warm double layered beanie or beret crocheted hat, with a multi-toned double crochet outer and a black inner, creating a thick warm hat.
Thicker weight and warm, due to the double layer.
The yarns used for this hat are wonderfully soft, the outer layer was crocheted with a double stitch to give a more open waffle effect, in Hayfield Illusion yarn that has a black base a a russet and burnt Orange transitional thread.
100% acrylic yarn. No animal fibres so suitable for vegans and those with a wool allergy.
This lovely hat is washable with care in cool water, but I would suggest handwashing and shaping whilst damp.
This is a thicker although not super chunky hat.
The beanie, is a classic style. Crocheted on a medium hook to give a loose stitch and in a continuous line, starting in the centre at the top, and the same with the inner lining, so there are no seams or joins in the body of the hat. The two colours are then joined at the top of the crown, and the brim edge.
The approximate measurements for the hat is that it has a diameter of approx 27cms, when the yarn is relaxed. So suitable for a lady or a gent.
Can be worn in a variety of ways!
I thoroughly enjoy creating useful and unusual items with yarn. Knitting and crochet are so relaxing! This lovely two toned hat will go with so many outfits, perfect for the autumn & winter seasons & any one who loves unique & bespoke items.
