I wanted lots of energy and movement in this print. Not just from the cyclists speeding over the bridge but from the birds swooping under the bridge. I added a few raucous seagulls as noisy onlookers

Full description
I designed, cut and handprinted this linocut in my attic studio in Yorkshire.
Doing everything by hand produces unique images every time as small differences in ink colour or roller weight can alter the finished image. This is very much the case with designs that incorporate several colours like the one here.
I used Lawrence Linseed-oil Based Relief Printing Ink on Somerset Satin 250gms paper.
Only 40 of these images are printed in multiple colours.
Each print is numbered, titled and signed by me in pencil.
The print measures 25 x 18 cm which fits into a standard 40 x 30 cm frame.
This unframed print is sent rolled into a sturdy cardboard tube for safe transportation.
