Life has been difficult over the last couple of years and times are still tough - here's one way you can help yourself....
If, unfortunately, you're feeling down, or stressed, writing a journal can really help. Expressing your thoughts in a safe, confidential place, can help regain a bit of balance and perspective.
Writing a journal, or "journaling" as it's referred to these days, is a recognised approach for dealing with stress. Follow the link below to find ideas on using journaling for depression, anxiety and stress:

And if you decide journaling might be for you, why not treat yourself to a beautiful, unique notebook in which to capture your thoughts?
Either way, I hope you feel better soon.
I love books, particularly notebooks! I write lists for everything, both at work and at home and scribble notes and ideas down all the time. Some time ago I started to get really bored with the standard off-the-shelf type of notebook available. I also, by accident, discovered I find it more relaxing to write notes on coloured paper than white paper. But when I looked for a note book with coloured pages, I really struggled to find one that appealed. So I decided to make my own. I booked myself on a bookbinding course and was completely bitten by the book-making bug! I now make a variety of types, all with an eye to colour and attractive design, and most with coloured pages.

Full description
Stars or snowflakes (you can decide) abound on this lovely "push me -pull you" notebook. You can start from either end and it looks the same!
Coptic stitch binding enables you to lay the book flat, ideal for sketching or journalling across the pages. Great for scribbling notes and capturing your thoughts, working on your lists.
In these times of worry, concern and general distress, writing your thoughts in a journal can really help work through your concerns and retain perspective. Writing a journal is a recognised technique to aid your mental health.
The front and back covers have a purple background with yellow and white snowflakes or stars scattered across. Bright yellow waxed linen thread and gold eyelets add to the fun, shiny feel of this design.
Traditionally hand bound with 10 signatures (80 pages, or 160 sides) in a very, very pale grey. An off-white really. The pages are heavier than normal, about 120gsm, so particularly good for sketching or watercolour.
The Irish linen thread is waxed with bees wax from my own Cornish bees.
Gold eyelets give the book a touch of class and add to the robustness of the book, aiding its longevity.
